mama llama drama

so when i was designing this new blog,
naturally i had to have a country looking profile picture, right?
i looked all over for my skinny jeans, only to find they were wet.
i pulled out my hand-me-down-and-too-small-for-me true religions instead.
just be thankful you couldn't see the rear view of the picture...
because that's what you'd see--
my rear.
i've had 4 babies and no, i cannot wear low rise jeans.
these hips don't lie,
and neither does the post-baby flab.
let's not dwell on that, mmmk?

anyway, i took my camera outside and tried to find a shady spot.
i didn't want dappled lighting.
that's u-g-l-y, guys.
it took quite awhile to get my camera safely balanced on my makeshift tripod.
it went like this:
patio table
patio chair
 moving box
stick to prop the end of the lense up.

when i was finally ready to go,
i set the timer and hurried over to my place,
only to get this far--
outtake2
darn you, too tight jeans.

after several more attempts,
i finally got one i liked...
but guess who else decided to be in the one single picture i liked?
outtake
enter photoshop.
thank goodness for the clone tool.
not only for mama llama, but also for some of that dreaded dappled lighting.

dreofwhitestables
there, much better.

if you've never used the clone tool but want to try, make sure you use a larger, soft brush. you want it to be blended in as much as possible. do little parts at a time, and make sure you're not choosing the same target area each time. otherwise the repetition of the pattern will really draw attention. it takes a little time, but it's worth it to get a natural looking result. hope that helps. =)

thanks for reading.

this made me laugh out loud. lol if you will. too bad you didn't call your friend kyle and she could have taken your picture AND played with your mama llama. win-win. though, your picture would have probably had an increase of dappled lighting and a lot of blown out areas. that just happens. but the llama time would make it worth it.
